Connie Zuniga of Kissimmee, Florida had a pretty rough week after her beloved emotional support and companion dog disappeared.
Connie’s dog, a Siberian husky named Khaleesi was missing more than a week after she disappeared from the family’s home.
When the family realized the dog’s collar had a tracking device on it, they thought that would help them find her, but unfortunately it had been turned off.
Thinking the dog had been stolen, the family called police. They also shared their story on the news at News 6 hoping someone would see it and recognize the dog.
Then one day, one of Connie’s friends saw a Craigslist ad about a husky who had been found wearing a GPS collar.
The person who posted the ad was 19-year-old Alyssa Rodriguez who said she found the dog walking in the rain around her mother’s house. Alyssa took the dog in because she was cold, wet, and hungry.
Connie contacted Alyssa right away hoping the dog she had was Connie’s furbaby Khaleesi, and indeed it was!
They arranged a reunion for Connie and her dog to meet up in a Wal-Mart parking lot, and what a reunion it was!
