Homeless and sick, the dog had been living in a parking lot for over 7 months when Hope for Paws received a call from the good people who had been giving him food and water.

He had been living outside a maternity clinic. The people working at the clinic fed him, but didn’t really know how to help the sick dog. Luckily, one of the clinic’s patients saw the dog, and because she had seen Hope For Paws rescue videos, she contacted them for help.

Eldad Hagar, the founder of Hope for Paws in Los Angeles, and Lisa Chiarelli, came looking for the dog. They found him taking shelter from the scorching California heat under a car.

The dog was terrified and extremely afraid of human contact, and they had a hard time getting close to him. He started to come out a little bit when Lisa offered him food.

But then he panicked when they tried to get him on a leash. Eldad and Lisa are experts and were finally able to calm him down and catch him.

It took a little while, but he started to relax and allow Eldad to touch him.

Once he was calmed down and Lisa was holding him close, you can see how much he is enjoying some love – something he’s probably never experienced in his life.
