Rottweilers are one of those dog breeds that we consider aggressive, or big and scary. But as with any dog, it’s not the breed that determines his nature, but how they were raised.
When I mentioned the word Rottweiler, what words came to your mind? Did you think guard dog, aggressive, mean… or at least big?
Actually, for the breed in general, these words fit better: intelligent, calm, devoted, confident, and adaptable. As with any breed, each dog has his own personality.
In general, Rottweilers are loving, affectionate dogs. They love to be where the action is, and are happiest when part of a family. He will want to be near you, and will bond closely with his humans.
In fact, many times, no matter how big they are, they think they’re a lap dog, and will be climbing into your lap for a cuddle.
