Bertram, aka Bert, was a chocolate Pomeranian who was taken to a shelter when his breeder decided he was too big to sell. Life wasn’t looking very good for this poor little puppy.
But then Kathy Grayson, the owner of an NYC art gallery called The Hole, happened to be reading through Petfinder one day and saw the dog’s picture. She was instantly attracted to him and she knew she wanted this puppy.
“There was just something about the look in his eyes,” Kathy said. She knew she wanted to share her home with him.
Kathy flew all the way to Sallisaw to meet the dog and bring him home.
One thing this dog did have was personality. He loved being in the art world. And that was the beginning of this dog’s amazing adventure.
“He’s been to dozens of openings, scores of art fairs in NYC, Miami, L.A. and the Hamptons even,” Kathy says.
The dog delights people as he travels with Kathy. He’s full of charm, and even gives kisses on demand if treats are involved.
It’s now four years later and the dog is completely immersed in the New York City art scene. He goes to work with his mom every day.
