Jordan Kahana had some time off work. His office was closed down for the holidays and so he decided to go on a road trip from Los Angeles to visit the Grand Canyon.
He was driving down a desolate highway and was shocked to see two fluffy puppies walking down the middle of the road with no mother or anyone else anywhere around.
Jordan had come close to adopting a husky dog shortly before going on this trip but hadn’t done it. He’d gotten cold feet at the last minute.
So now he found these two puppies on the road. He had no idea where they had come from. They had no identification on them at all. He knew he would never feel good about himself if he left them on the highway.
So, being the good guy that he is, Jordan pickup up the puppies and loaded them into the car. He continued on his merry way. When he got to Arizona, he took the puppies to a local animal hospital for a check-up.
There they received basic health screenings and were dewormed. Jordan learned there that the puppies were Border Collie Mixes. By then, the three had become great friends, and the “adventure squad” was born.
