You’ve heard the expression, “it’s hot enough outside to fry an egg,” right?
Here is a demonstration that will show you just how crazy it can get in a hot car, even though it may not be too hot outside.
It happens all the time. People leave their dogs in the car, just for a couple of minutes to run a few errands. But then maybe it takes longer then they expected, and the dog gets extremely sick from heat stroke, or even dies.
Did you know that a dog could experience irreversible brain damage and even death in a hot car in as little as 10 to 15 minutes? And cracking those windows doesn’t help!
Even if you think you’ll only be gone a second, don’t do it. You need to be hyper vigilant about the safety of your dog.
All it takes is one unexpected delay to turn what was a normal day into a tragedy. Even if it’s not hot outside, the inside of your car is hotter than you realize.
On a 78-degree day, the inside of the car can be well over 100 degrees. Your dog has no way to cool himself.
It’s not stretch to think of leaving your dog in a parked car the same as leaving him in a microwave oven. When a dog is left in a hot car, he is literally cooking from the inside out.
