There’s nothing stronger than a bond that a dog shares with his human, especially for a service dog. This man and his dog survived the most horrifying crash, and the results were miraculous.
Philip Roklen and his 4-year-old German shepherd, Jesse, were driving on I-17 in Phoenix, Arizona when the most horrendous accident happened.
His SUV crashed directly smack dab into the back of a flatbed truck. The truck was carrying a bunch of long, metal bars that were so long they hung off the back of the truck.
When Philip realized he was about to hit the truck, his first instinct was to protect his dog – just like a mother would do with her baby. The dog was in the back of the car, so he reached over to brace his dog to protect him.
And that’s what saved Philip’s life. Just the mere act of leaning over to protect his dog, lowered his head so that when the bars came crashing thru his windshield, they barely missed his head.
Everyone was comparing this accident to the movie Final Destination. This show was famous for its portrayal of crazy, freakish accidents. But this accident was nothing short of phenomenal. It was amazing that Philip and the dog survived.
