A 15-year-old cocker spaniel dog named Otis was finally returned to his owner after being stolen in a shocking dognapping incident while on a walk to the park.

Michael Heredia was walking Otis, along with two other dogs to the park. They were only two blocks from his house when he noticed a dark-colored Nissan Altima pull up about a block ahead of him.

I saw a guy get out on his cell phone and walk towards me, but I didn’t think anything of it,” Mike said.

Then all of a sudden, Mike heard his dog Otis yelp. Mike turned and saw the man scoop up the dog and run to the waiting car and then toss the dog inside. The dog was not on a leash.

Mike sprang into action. This was his dog they were taking!

I jumped through the window — I was halfway in and halfway out — trying to get my dog back,” Mike said.

Then the female drive took off, with Mike still hanging out of the front passenger window up to his waist.

The man in the car was hitting Mike in the face at that point, trying to get him to let go and drop out of the car.

Mike knew he was in severe danger. The car was speeding down the road with him hanging out of the window.

He told the woman to slow down so he could get out. But she screamed and sped up, and he fell out.
