80-year-old Texas native, Eugene Bostick, loves to play train conductor for his rescued stray dogs. And the dogs definitely LOVE all the attention!
Eugene and his brother have a horse barn and live on a dead-end street. People sometimes dump their dogs out near his barn, leaving them to fend for themselves or go hungry.
So Eugene and his brother started feeding them, taking care of them, and even taking them to the vet to get spayed and neutered. Over the years this has amounted to lots of dogs.
The dogs love to romp and play at his farm. But when Eugene retired about 15 years ago, he thought it might be fun to take them on outings.
One day, Eugene saw a guy with a tractor that was pulling carts full of rocks, and that’s where he came up with his idea for a dog train. Eugene thought, “I’m a pretty good welder,” so he found some plastic barrels, cut them down, put wheels under them and hooked them together. And then, he had his own dog train!
