This poor pit bull dog named Blue King (or Blue for short), had the unthinkable happen to him. His family surrendered him to a high-kill shelter in California.
The dog lived with a family in California for about a year. When they moved, they decided to not take the dog with them and so they surrendered him to Carson Shelter.
Because Carson Shelter is a high-kill facility, the longer the dog stayed there, the higher his chances were of being put down.
The dog was absolutely heartbroken. When the shelter staff tried to cheer him up with treats, he sniffed them but was so overwhelmed with emotion all he could do was cry and look through the bars of his kennel door.
A photo was taken of him, which shows a tear dripping from his eye. Some say the tears were from possible allergies, but he was so emotional who really knows.
Thankfully, volunteers from Saving Carson Shelter dogs stepped in to help this dog by creating a video of him. The video was created to gain attention hoping that someone would adopt the dog and take him home. The video was posted on the organizations Facebook page.
