We all love our dogs. They’re part of our family. We have all kinds of ways to show that we love them, like buying special treats for them, or spending all kinds of money to take them to the vet when they need it.
So how can we know for sure that our dogs love us as much as we love them, and not just hanging around to get his needs taken care of?
Well, actually it’s pretty easy. In this video, author Gregory Burns shows five ways to know if your dog loves you. He puts his three-year-old yellow Labrador to the test.
I’ll let the video explain the five ways, but here are some ideas as well:
Our dogs love to play with us. They love to play, period. But they play with us much like they play with other dogs. They love to wrestle. They also love to snuggle with you. Does your dog like to sit or lay on the couch with you while you’re watching TV or reading a good book?
Dogs are naturally pack animals. In the wild, they sleep huddled together. In your house, he most likely wants to do the same with you. He wants to feel closed and it’s his way of showing you he considers you to part of his pack.
Oh, and when you come home, he’s probably ecstatic to see you! He’s excited and wants to rejoice. You are back in his world! And it doesn’t even seem to matter how long you’ve been gone. You’re back, and that’s all that matters!
So does your dog love you? Check out the suggestions in the video, and share your results with us below in the comments.
