A pregnant dog and her nine puppies were trapped for almost four days buried under the debris of a collapsed home in Jingdezhen, China. It took rescuers two days to get them out.

Locals called emergency rescue services when they realized the dogs were buried down there.

It was incredibly hard to get to the dog and puppies, but rescuers wouldn’t give up. After relentlessly working for two days, they finally freed the dogs.

In the rescue video, you can see four rescuers using their bare hands to dig while one rescuer puts his arm down a giant hole.

Eventually, the rescuer pulls out a puppy.

He continues looking, using a torch to search for the mama dog and the rest of the puppies, before putting his arm down the hole again to try to reach more of the puppies.

Eventually all of the dogs were rescued. Rescuers carried them out in towels and blankets and transported them to an animal protection association.

It was later learned that the dogs belonged to an elderly woman who was in the hospital when her house was demolished.

Demolition workers failed to notice the dog and her puppies when they carried out the demolition.

Mama dog and her puppies were incredibly lucky this day! If they had been trapped under the rubble any longer, they wouldn’t have survived. Thank goodness for the good people that discovered them, and the rescuers who wouldn’t give up!
