Annie, from Rescue from the Hart, received an urgent call that a car in a South Los Angeles Neighborhood had hit a homeless poodle dog. She called Eldad Hagar, from Hope For Paws, to help her find the dog.
The two rushed to locate the dog, hoping it was not too late. Eventually they found the dog alone by the side of a busy road, and pressed against a wall.
This dog looked so tiny sitting there, and appeared to be all alone. She was so filthy that her dirty white fur blended in with the grey city streets. She just sat there, not moving.
From the sidewalk, Annie couldn’t tell if the dog was scared or hurt, or both. She couldn’t tell if the dog would try to fight her.
So she slowly came up to the dog trying not to scare her, and the dog didn’t move. She just looked at her. Annie slowly started to pet her.
