Sometimes a dog will find a person, and he just knows this person is meant to be his forever. This definitely seems to be true for a dog Named Ted and a human named Abbey.
The two originally met at the Northwest Territories SPCA when Abbey was working her shift. The dog had been brought in only the day before. He was a German shepherd-Akita mix.
The dog was very timid and quiet, and wouldn’t interact with anyone. He was terrified and just kept to himself in his kennel.
Abbey tried to take him for a walk, but he refused. So then she fed him some cheese-flavored bacon. She took a special interest in the dog that day, and tried to get him into a bigger kennel.
But that was the extent of their interaction. She didn’t come near the dog at all during the rest of her shift, and when her shift was over she went home.
The next morning, Abbey got up at 3am and went to her job at the airport. When she came home later that day, there was a stray dog sitting at her front door.
At first, she was wary of the dog, but she slowly approached him. Once she got close enough, she noticed a small nick on his nose. She had seen the same mark on Ted the day before.
