Seven dogs were trapped in a car in Arizona. It was 100 degrees F inside the car, and apparently they had been in there for two whole days with no water.

When the police officer found them, she knew she had to so something right away. At first she tried to pour water through a crack at the top of the window, but knew that wasn’t going to be enough to help them.

The officer tried everything she could to help them without damaging the vehicle. The temperature in the car was over 100 degrees. Their owner was nowhere to be seen.

Two days of being in this hot car must have been horrific for these poor dogs.

Animals have an exceptionally hard time with the heat because they can only cool themselves by panting and sweating through their paw pads. They can suffer brain damage, or even death, in as little as 15 minutes.

Time was running out for these dogs and they needed help immediately. So in the end, she had to blow out the window.
