Hüseyin el-Hasan is a Syrian refugee who now lives in Turkey. He has experienced much adversity already in his short life. He’s seen his home destroyed by the war, and has spent much of his life running from danger.
After seeing a stray dog get hit by a speeding car, the boy jumped in to do what he could.
Bystanders had picked the dog off the street and moved him to the roadside, but other than that, nobody seemed to be the least bit interested.
The dog was cold and shivering, so the boy ran home to get a blanket, which he wrapped around the dog to keep him warm.
He begged everyone who came by for help. There wasn’t much more the young boy could do for the dog himself, but he tried his best. He settled down next to the dog and stayed with him and comforted him until help arrived.
